HERALDING THE GOODNEWS BY REV. (MRS) CHINYERE MADUGBA

Matthew 4:19, Ezekiel 18:23, John 4:4

A herald is an announcer; he doesn’t speak as a begger, but forcefully, as a person who proclaims the Samaritan woman was an example. Women have the grace and capacity to talk more than the men, this grace is not to be misused but used to propagate the good news. God is so passionate about souls, that is why He sent His only son to die for us. And mandated us to be fishers of men in Matthew 4:19, Ezekiel 18:23.

God knew the disciples needed,

THE URGENCY OF PREACHING THE GOSPEL  

1. Matt 9:37 God expressed the need for this urgency 

2. Paul saw it also in Rom 1:14-17, 1 Corinthians 9:16, 2 Corinthians 5:7, 20

3. Proverbs 11:30

Why Do We Think We Need To Preach The Gospel Urgently

1. The church of Jesus is largely asleep and the devil is at work overtime (Matthew 13:24). America for the first time hosted a conference of Christian witches. What an embarrassment? (Romans 13:11). We are in a time when waiting upon God has become a burden and not a necessity, when the church has become a ground of entertainment for comedians, lack of love, exaggeration of testimony and lots more have entered the church. No space for the Holy Spirit.  

2. The church has lost eternity consciousness (1 Corinthians 15:19, Hebrew. 9:27). This world is not our home and we shouldn’t live as though we are to end here (2 Timothy 4:7-8). How many souls have you won? What will you show the lord when you appear before him? Live your life in a way that you will affect your world positively. I want to walk into heaven boldly and like a conqueror. If you can’t travel abroad, there are sinners around you. 

3. Because the gospel as been turned into merchandise; success in ministry has been reduced to the size of the church and possessions.

5. Lack of prophetic voices in the church. We now have only motivational speakers. Cheered by the congregation instead of having men broken down.

6. Church people are full of bitterness and un-forgiveness. 

7. Carnality (Galatians 5:6) worshiping God in the flesh (John 4:23) Romans 8:8

HOW DO WE HERALD THE GOODNEWS?

1. Get born again (2 Corinthians. 5:17, 2 Timothy. 2:19-21). Get broken: (Ephesians 4:22) die to yourself so that you will not be a cast away (1 Corinthians. 15:31)

2. Move your prayer life to another level: (James 5:16, Acts 4:31). You victory is in your mouth. A soundless Christian is a signless Christian

3. Load Your Spirit man with the Word (2 Timothy 2:15, Colossians 3:16, Joshua 1:8)

4. Embark on evangelism, preach the word of God with boldness (Proverbs 28:1, Acts 4:13). You cannot be a child of God and be timid (Romans 1:16) we cannot allow the great commission to become the great omission (Psalm 68:11).

5. Understand what God assignment for you is. Beyond coming to church identify that potential. You have un-birthed song, dramas books etc. there is no nonentity in Gods vine yard. Find out your assignment and be passionate about your assignment

6. Be relevant in Gods agenda: what makes you a woman of God is not how good you dress, but alignment to Gods plan and agenda for women. There is an assignment meant for women, they need to stand up and support the men. (Genesis 2:8). In the rising of the esters the Mordecai will wax stronger.

7. Work on your character so that you can model whatever you are marketing to the world. Preach with your lifestyle. You can’t have a destiny higher than your character  (Matthew 5:14-16)

8. Activate the potentials God have put inside of you: use to bless people around you. Look out for opportunity to be a blessing (Geneses 12:2). You are not yet bless, until you have become a blessing. Your worth in life is not about the cost of your jewelry etc. It’s about how many souls you add value to. In 1 Samuel 22, David raised the four hundred (400) worthless men until they became mighty men.

9. Let the fire of God burn in your bones: it is the fire of God that makes you present Him and pray for sinners, you cannot afford to be an ordinary Christian, when you can be a Christian carrying fire (Psalm 104:4, Obadiah 1:18, Luke 12:49 ).
