Cross River State Government Advices Keke Riders To Desist From Plying Routes Not Approved For Them.


The Cross River State Government in a bit to secure life and properties has adviced owners and riders of tricycle also known as Keke to desist from from plying routes not approved for them by the State Government.

This was contained in a press release by the Traffic Management and Regulatory Agency (TRAMRA). 

The Press Release reads;


 PRESS RELEASE

This is to advice owners and riders of Tricycles popularly called Keke that they should carry out their operations only on the approved routes given by the Cross River State Government through the then Department of public Transportation (DOPT), now Traffic Management and Regulatory Agency (TRAMRA).


Forthwith they should desist from plying the Murtala Muhammad Highway, Marian Road and other major roads not approved for their operations.


Also note that only the Traffic Management Agency has the right to approve any or additional routes for operation.


Keke riders (Tricycles) should desist from unauthorized routes as taskforce has been set up to correct this abnormally.


Owners, Riders and Keke Associations are also by this announcement advised to desist from plying these routes as Keke seen violating this order shall be impounded.


All complaints, enquires or otherwise about the approved routes should be directed to the Director General,Traffic Management and Regulatory Agency( TRAMRA) Governor's Office, calabar.
