Hoodlums have broken into a shop along Marian road Calabar, beside whispers guests, opposite Assemblies of God Church, 31 Ndidem Usang Iso Road Calabar.

The boutique where different kinds of shoes, cloths, wrist watches and other goods are sold was broken into at midnight on Thursday, 26th November 2020 and goods and properties carted away with. The shop was left open till morning and almost empty.

According to our sources who pleaded anonymous, "I heard noise at night of banging on a gate, I thought it was people asking to enter the whispers guests house, little did I know that it was actually hoodlums breaking into a shop" he said.

The 10pm to 6am curfew placed on Calabar is not helping, but rather has become an avenue for hoodlums to carry out the evil intentions.

The security need of the State is on the high side, as activities of hoodlums, kidnappers and armed robbers is increasing on daily bases.

As at the time of filing this report, the owner of the said shop was yet to arrive his shop as neighbors were still contemplating whether or whether not to call him.
