The immediate Executive Director/CEO of the National Film and Video Censors Board has come out debunk social media reports that he was arrested for fraud immediately he concluded his tenure as the head of the federal agency.
In a statement personally signed by him he referred to the report as the doings of some mischievous elements.

I want to thank colleagues and concerned friends and well wishes who have been calling to confirm if indeed I was arrested by the EFCC in connection with financial fraud.
The story carried by the blog is not only untrue but a wicked and malicious attempt to rubbish my gains in advancing the motion picture industry in Nigeria since assuming the saddle in my present office and discrediting my good intention for the industry .
I want to assure everyone that I remain committed to building alongside with the guilds a better and more prosperous industry for this and future generations.
For the records once again, I was never arrested. May be is a cheap way of saying APRIL FOOL
