Democracy Day: Hon. Signor Omang Urge Youths To Stand And Speak As One For A Better Society

Hon. Signor Omang

Some years ago, there was a turning point in the history of Nigeria. The day Nigerians can stand sovereign over their elected leaders, by exercising their right to choose at the ballot box.

In spite of the difficult challenges that have confronted us, we have worked tirelessly and exhibited heroic sacrifices that have kept us together as a nation.

As the Cross River State Commissioner for Youth and Skills Acquisition, I am glad we are celebrating 22 years of uninterrupted democracy.

It has been a strenuous journey but the gains are obvious and worth the challenges. In Cross River, the youth have been fairly treated, I must say, and that is why we have to commend our amiable Governor, Sir Ben Ayade on his consistent empowerment of youths and for appointing them into offices.

When our minds are as one, we are strong. When we speak out as one, we are formidable. When we demand as one, we are insurmountable.

For this reason, I urge all Cross Riverians to stand and speak as one to demand an end to insecurity, corruption, and all other social ills that have plagued our great nation.

Let us also understand, that this democracy of ours is not just a gift, but a responsibility to be harnessed and developed for the benefit of generations of Nigerians that are yet to come.

God bless President Muhammadu Buhari

God Bless Sir Ben Ayade

God Bless Nigeria

God Bless Cross River State
