According to a source in the community, the community was
attacked by armed bandits at 2:30 am adding that the siege on the community
lasted for about four hours and ended in the early hours of Friday morning.
He also confirmed that a Nigerian Military armoured
personnel carrier was also set ablaze by the bandits during the attack.
The Friday morning attack is coming few days after a hundred
abducted persons from Manawa village in the Dansadau region were set free by
their abductors, and barely one week after gunmen shot down a military Alpha
Jet in the state.
The Nigerian Police command in the district as of the time
of filing this report is yet to confirm the recent attack. Meanwhile, the
Police Public Relations Officer in the region has promised to get back to our
sources with updated information.
Dansadau community is in terms of banditry, kidnapping and
other related crimes in the state one of the hottest zones and is about ninety-nine
kilometers from Gusau the State capital.
