Appeal panel receives petitions from 15 states During APC Congresses

So far, from last Saturday’s ward congresses, the Congress Appeal Committee set up by the All Progressives Congress to review petitions has received petitions from 15 states.

It was gathered in Abuja that petitions were received from Kwara, Osun, Lagos, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, Niger, Kano and Ogun among others.

Only 21 states out of the 33 states where congresses were held, submitted their reports as at close of business on Wednesday.

Congresses were not held in Zamfara, Bayelsa and Anambra.

While inaugurating the Appeal Panel, the APC National Secretary of the Caretaker/ Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee, Senator John Akpanudoede had charged members to be fair to all parties and ensure that justice is done.

However, the Spokesperson for the Concerned APC members, Abdullahi Dauda, said that "for justice to be done, there should be a total review of what happened last week."

"There were no congresses in most of the states, people just sat down somewhere and said they did consensus.” He added
