BREAKING: 2023: I Do Not Need Another Tenure, Buhari warns supporters


 


President Muhammadu Buhari has on Friday 29th October 2021 vowed to leave office on May 29, 2023.

Buhari swore by the Holy Qur’an that he will serve in accordance with the constitution and go when his time is up.

“Tazarce’ (tenure extension). I don’t want anybody to start talking about and campaigning for an unconstitutional extension. I will not accept that”, he said.

According to Daily Post, this decision was disclosed by Buhari while speaking at a meeting in Makkah with a select group of Nigerians resident in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he just ended a visit.

He further assured them that in about eighteen months or so of his tenure left, that he will do whatsoever it is that is within his power to improve the life of Nigerians “Within the eighteen months or so of my time left, whatever I can do to improve the life of Nigerians, I will do it for the country.” He said.

The President commended Nigerians in diaspora resident in the Kingdom for representing the country well and projecting its good image.
