Hon. Olowu Oluwaseyi also known as Owo Chicago has emerged winner of the Peoples Democratic Party primaries for the House of Representative, Shomolu Federal Constituency.
The elections which were held at Efon Alaiye hall, 104 Apata Street, Somolu and the Lagos Secretariate respectively, commenced at about 4.50 pm on Sunday, 22nd May 2022 after a long wait due to rumors of postponement.
The Primaries had Michael Adeshina as the returning officer.
Speaking after the elections, Hon. Oluwu expressed gratitude to God, noting that his victory is for the party.

"I thank God for today, I feel happy. But, I believe that the victory is for the party. The person who contested is my close friend and we are going to work together and achieve our aim and objectives"
"This is just the beginning of the journey and we are still moving to defeat APC."
"One thing about the election is that in politics one person is going to win and one person is going to lose. Politics should not be a game you should have an issue with anybody. It is a game of number and God will help us work together." He said.
Oluwaseyi also appreciated the leaders and members of the party for their support. and pledged to work with all for greater achievement.

Reacting, the returning officer commended the good people of Shomolu for their peaceful conduct during the Primaries. Adding that God was involved and everything went well.
