I'm positive you recognize these lyrics, the NYSC anthem.
Dr. Oluwole Adetiran, the man who composed the NYSC anthem is dead. He passed away yesterday at the age of 74. Last year, Adetiran explained that he had been inflicted with multiple diseases, including hypertension, diabetes and prostate cancer since 2018.
He composed the scheme’s anthem in 1984 while serving as a corps member in oyo state.
The NYSC and the country has indeed lost an icon. Rest on Sir.
