C'River Police Commissioner Promotes 129 Inspectors to ASP II Rank, Urges Them to Uphold High Standards



Following the recent promotions approved by the Police Service Commission (PSC) on the recommendation of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, 129 Inspectors have been elevated to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II). These newly promoted officers serving in the Cross River State Command were officially decorated on August 13, 2024, by the Commissioner of Police for Cross River State, CP Gyogon A. Grimah, along with his Management Team.


During the ceremony, the Commissioner of Police urged the newly promoted ASPs to uphold high standards, reminding them that with greater responsibility comes greater expectations. He emphasized the importance of discipline, which he described as the foundation of the Police Force. He also stressed the need for the officers to adhere strictly to the Force’s dress code and demonstrate unwavering dedication to their duties, without falling into complacency, to contribute positively to the Nigeria Police Force and the Cross River State Command.








Representing the newly promoted officers, ASP Bam Ofem expressed their gratitude in a vote of thanks. She assured the gathering of their commitment to maintaining the ethical standards of the Force and expressed their deep appreciation to God Almighty for the promotion.
