Breaking News: N750 Million Donated as Tinubu Launches Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem




President Bola Tinubu has officially unveiled Nigeria’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day emblem for 2025 at a ceremony in the Council Chamber of the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.


He promised to focus on the well-being of the men and women in the military who protect the country and its citizens.


During the short event on Tuesday, Tinubu recognized the important role of Nigeria’s armed forces as the government’s first line of defense.


He emphasized his government’s commitment to supporting military personnel and honoring those who have died while serving.


Tinubu also mentioned how important security is for Nigeria’s economic future and promised to keep providing resources to tackle security issues across the nation.


The ceremony included significant donations in support of the armed forces.


On behalf of the federal government, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation promised N500 million.


The National Assembly, represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, contributed N200 million, while top security officials, including the Chief of Defence Staff and the Inspector-General of Police, together pledged N50 million on behalf of the military and police.
