Israeli military airstrikes have killed more than 40 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip, with intense attacks focused on the northern Jabalia area.
Palestinian health officials reported that at least 11 people were killed near al-Faluja in Jabalia, which is the largest of Gaza's historic refugee camps. In a separate incident, 10 people were killed in Bani Suheila, in southern Gaza's Khan Younis area, after an Israeli missile hit a house.
Earlier on Tuesday, an Israeli airstrike destroyed three houses in the Sabra neighborhood of northern Gaza City. Two bodies have been recovered, while rescue teams are searching for 12 people believed to have been inside the buildings when the attack happened.
In central Gaza, five more people were killed when a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp was struck by an Israeli missile.
