The United States and Singapore held their third Cyber Dialogue during the 9th Singapore International Cyber Week. The meeting was co-chaired by U.S. Ambassador Nathaniel C. Fick and David Koh, the Chief Executive of Singapore's Cyber Security Agency. Officials from various agencies in both countries attended the event.
During the discussions, they talked about cyber threats in the region, including cyberattacks by nations, online fraud, and harmful activities targeting important infrastructure. They also shared updates on their cybersecurity policies, strategies, and laws. The two countries highlighted their successful cooperation in strengthening defenses against cyberattacks.
Additionally, they reviewed their work together in international and regional groups, focusing on building cyber resilience and capacity. This Cyber Dialogue, first introduced by U.S. President Biden and Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in March 2022, aims to foster ongoing collaboration on cybersecurity between the two nations.
Both the U.S. and Singapore are committed to improving cybersecurity, which is vital for economic growth and the well-being of their people.
