USAID's Isobel Coleman to Lead U.S. Delegation at G7 Meeting, Focus on Global Food and Health Crises

Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will travel to Italy from October 21-24, 2024. During her visit, she will meet with development partners to discuss important global issues and lead the U.S. delegation at the G7 Development Ministerial Meeting.


In Rome on October 21, Coleman will hold discussions with donors and partners about the severe humanitarian crisis in Sudan. She will also participate in a panel about child malnutrition, where she will highlight U.S. support for programs aimed at preventing and treating malnutrition.

At the G7 meeting in Pescara, Coleman and other global development leaders will talk about ways to address the global food security crisis, improve infrastructure through the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI), and meet global health and humanitarian needs. She will stress the importance of continued collaboration with international partners and showcase USAID’s efforts to promote sustainable infrastructure and better healthcare access for vulnerable people around the world.
