About INSO
The International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) was started in 2011 as a British charity. It helps aid workers stay safe by providing safety coordination in dangerous areas. INSO offers free services to registered NGOs, such as:
- Real-time tracking of incidents

Position: Driver
Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Role Overview
The driver’s main job is to transport people, partners, equipment, and materials. They also deliver mail between different locations. The driver must maintain INSO vehicles, follow driving rules, and keep them in good condition.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Maintenance
- Clean the vehicle regularly.
- Perform maintenance checks and repairs.
- Replace faulty parts and record them in the logbook.
Authorizations
- Get permission from the manager to transport other passengers.
Assistance
- Help passengers with loading and unloading luggage.
Safety Checks
- Inspect vehicles before and after field trips.
- Ensure all required documents (logbook, accident forms) are in the vehicle.
Accident Reporting
- Report any accident or incident immediately.
Passenger and Cargo Safety
- Follow the vehicle’s capacity limit.
- Do not allow armed passengers.
- Safely secure and transport goods.
Driving Rules
- Know and follow local traffic laws.
- Drive only INSO staff and cargo.
Requirements
Must Have:
- A college diploma or SSCE certificate
- At least 3 years of driving experience
- Basic knowledge of auto mechanics
- Good English and local language skills
- A valid driver’s license

- Strong communication skills
- Advanced auto mechanic skills
