The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd has denied allegations in a viral video claiming that its fuel burns too quickly. NNPC described the claim as false and misleading, saying it was based on unverified and inaccurate information.
In a statement, NNPC assured Nigerians that its fuel is high-quality, efficient, and environmentally safe. It also clarified that most of the petrol sold at its stations in Lagos comes from the Dangote Refinery, which follows strict industry standards.

NNPC accused economic saboteurs of trying to damage its reputation and warned that it will take legal action against anyone spreading false information about its operations.
